The Influence of Pore Distribution of Coal Char in the Char Fragmentation and Included Minerals Partitioning: A Percolation Modeling

The processes of char fragmentation, including mineral partitioning and particulate matter (PM) formation during dense porous combustion, were observed by a site percolation model. This model simulated the diffusion-controlled regime size distributions included minerals in typical bituminous coal determined computer-controlled scanning electron microscope (CCSEM), data put into matrix randomly. presents influence initial pore distribution on oxidation impact conversion process extent change ash with conversion, matters distribution, which is derived from consequence competition between fragmentation coalescence. results indicate that increasing porosity (φ), number large pores increases but decreases, leads to open increasing, close decreasing, surface reaction area increasing.
